Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-A high speed chase ensued in the Jardines Verdes sector of Maverick County on Wednesday March 19, 2014 near the 10:00 PM hour as deputies observed a white Ford F-150, bearing license plates AB3007, driving recklessly. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the pickup accelerated at a high rate of speed. The Vehicle finally came to a stop after going over a canal at the end of Jardines Verdes and colliding with a fence on a property by Buena Vista Drive. A young male subject wearing a red shirt and blue jeans was seen exiting the vehicle and fleeing the scene. A search for the subject was conducted to no avail. Eagle Pass Police Department records later revealed that the pickup truck had been reported as stolen. This case is under investigation.
