A Public Service Announcement from the City of Eagle Pass

The City of Eagle Pass Public Works Department will start the reconstruction of Comal Street from Hillcrest Street to Ferry Street on February 25, 2014. During construction, no through traffic will be allowed. Barricades will be set up during construction to control traffic flow. Provisions will be made to allow neighborhood residents to access their homes.

During construction there will be heavy equipment, dust, and noise in and around the construction area. We recommend that cars not drive over the fresh oil, unless necessary and if so to drive slowly over the oil. We ask for your cooperation in obeying all traffic signs including flagmen assigned to the area. No parking will be allowed on the right of way during construction. If vehicles remain on the right away during construction, a wrecker service will be utilized at the owners expense. Sprinklers will not be allowed to be left on over night during the period of construction. Failure to abide will lead to a citation from Municipal Court.

It is the intention of the Public Works Department to finish the construction as quickly as possible but there may be unforeseeable delays due to the actual condition of the in place materials. Cooperation from all residents will also enhance the construction.
