Maverick County Sheriff's Office (PRESS RELEASE)- Maverick County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on the 1300 block of Las Quintas Blvd. Thursday evening in reference to a structural fire. Upon arrival, deputies noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the rear of the mobile home, which was fully engulfed in flames. Eagle Pass Fire and Rescue arrived shortly thereafter, proceeding to extinguish the fire. The Mobile home appeared to have been vacant for an unknown time; no contact was made with the owner. The cause of the fire and the estimated value of damages were unknown at the time of the incident. This case has been turned over to the Eagle Pass Fire Marshal and Arson Division.
