Motor Vehicle Accident/Driving while Intoxicated-A unit responded to FM 1021 shortly before 1 PM this afternoon in regards to a single motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was determined a 2011 Toyota Tundra travelling westbound on FM 1021 veered to the side, striking a guard rail, and forcing the driver to lose control of the vehicle before coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road. The driver identified as twenty-eight year old Jaime Melchor displayed several signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Hit and Run-Deputies this afternoon were dispatched to Rosemary Street after the driver of 2009 GMC Sierra had been reportedly driving recklessly when he lost control of his pickup when he struck a parked vehicle. The driver, twenty-three year old Jesus Alberto Lopez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
