Daily Reports-June 08, 2021

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responded to the port of entry 1 this afternoon after CBP agents at the port detained a male subject attempting to smuggle narcotics. A secondary inspection and pat down of the subject identified as Juan Gabriel de la Garza, found him in possession of approximately 8.86 grams of methamphetamine located inside his jacket. De la Garza was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Deceased Person-Contact was made with US Border Patrol agents at the Glass Ranch on FM 2644 this afternoon after agents in the area located a deceased body of an unknown male subject on the ranch property. Justice of the Peace Smith was summoned to the scene to declare the subject deceased at approximately 5:45 PM and a local funeral home arrived to take possession of the body.
