[PRESS RELEASE]-Eagle Pass, Texas
Maverick County Sheriff Department Criminal Investigations unit and the Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers, with the assistance of the Maverick County SWAT team, conducted two felony arrests in the Maverick County area in the early hours of October 01, 2020.
Deputies arrested Margarita Chavez in the Chula Vista area on eight felony charges, including conspiracy to commit murder from an incident that took place in South Elm Creek in December of 2019.
Also arrested was a male subject identified as Jonathan Romero. Mr. Romero was charged with seven felony counts, including conspiracy to commit murder from an incident that took place in South Elm Creek in December of 2019. His arrest took place in the West Lakes Subdivision of Eagle Pass.
The two were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.
