Criminal Mischief/Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responding to a disturbance in progress on the 900 block of Chula Vista this morning made contact with a complainant who reported a known male subject had jumped on top of a vehicle and kicked its windshield in, causing extensive damages. Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject in question, Jesus Antonio Sifuentes III, who was found standing in front of a vehicle in the middle of the street. A body pat down was then conducted, yielding the discovery of a black bag containing a glass pipe and two clear baggies carrying a crystallized substance which would later test positive for approximately 4.35 grams of methamphetamine. Sifuentes was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The narcotics were tagged and placed in an evidence locker for safekeeping.
Wanted Subject/Possession of a Controlled Substance-Units responded to the US Border Patrol checkpoint on Highway 57 after agents had detained a male subject identified as thirty-four year old Steven Barton. Contact was made with Mr. Barton, whose check revealed an active warrant out of Jefferson County on a possessions charge. Further investigations revealed he was in possession of approximately 2g of methamphetamine and methadone.He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident/Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the 3600 block of Deer Run Blvd after fielding reports of a motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with Juan Antonio Lopez, the driver of a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix who reported he had lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked 2012 Ford F-150 and a 2014 Chevy Silverado. Mr. Lopez displayed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
