Maverick County Daily Reports-February 02, 2020

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-Deputies responded to the US Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 check point this morning after agents advised they had detained a 2018 Ford Mustang and its female driver when a check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of San Antonio, Texas. The driver, forty-eight year old Gina Ivette Medina Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The vehicle was impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the international port of entry #2 this evening after agents at the port detained a male subject when a background check revealed an active warrant on murder charges out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The charges on the subject, twenty-seven year old Wilson Gabriel Martinez Guzman, were confirmed and he was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz./Possession of a Dangerous Drug-Twenty-three year old Johnny Joe Gallegos was placed under arrest at the US Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this evening after a K9 inspection of his 2014 Toyota Camry found marijuana and adderall pills in the vehicle. Gallegos claimed ownership of the narcotics and was taken into custody at the scene. His vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.
