Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies this morning were dispatched to the US Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after agents had detained a male subject found in possession of a controlled substance. Agents at the location advised a check on the subject, Eugenio Ramirez, found a syringe containing methamphetamine concealed in his jean waistline. Mr. Ramirez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
