Maverick County Daily Reports-January 01, 2020

Reckless Driving-Thirty-one year old Jennifer Lynn Herrera was placed under arrest on reckless driving charges this morning after a complainant on Encino Street reported a known female subject had been driving a 2014 Dodge Ram recklessly in the area, almost striking her niece. The vehicle was later spotted by deputies and Ms. Herrera was taken into custody before being transferred to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Public Intoxication-A county unit was dispatched to US Highway 277 North this morning in reference to a male subject seen carrying a knife. Contact was made with the subject, later identified  as Gerardo Olvin Rodriguez Pineda, who had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person and displayed unstable movements and a slurred speech. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. United States Border Patrol was also contacted about the incident after Mr. Pineda was only able to produce identification out of Honduras.
