Money Laundering-A secondary inspection at the international port of entry 2 this morning yielded the discovery of approximately $18,264.00 inside of a 2008 Mercedes. The driver of the vehicle was detained for questioning and the vehicle was impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation. This case remained under investigation.
Wanted Person-Rosendo Menchaca Gonzalez was taken into custody at the international port of entry 1 this afternoon after CBP agents at the port initially detained Mr. Menchaca after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of the City of Austin Parole Board was confirmed as Active and Menchaca was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
