Maverick County Daily Reports-November 18, 2019

Wanted Person-Fernando Padron was arrested at the international port of entry #2 this morning after agents at the port had initially detained him when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant out of Bexar County was confirmed and Mr. Padron was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Animal Cruelty-A deputy responded to the Venessa Street area this afternoon after a resident reported an unknown subject had shot her dog in the neck area. The dog was found deceased at the time of arrival.

Motor Vehicle Accident with Wildlife-The driver of a Toyota Corolla travelling eastbound on FM 131 reported he had struck a deer attempting to cross the highway late this afternoon. Medical attention was refused and a formal report was filed.

Reckless Driving-A twenty-one year old male subject was placed under arrest this evening after a deputy on patrol observed him driving a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro travelling at a high rate of speed on FM 1021 (89 MPH in a 60 MPH Zone). He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry 2 this evening after CBP agents detained a male subject whose background check revealed an open warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Zavala County for Rocky Lara was confirmed and Mr. Lara was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
