Maverick County Daily Reports-September 10, 2019

Wanted Person-Robert Olivo was arrested at the international port of entry shortly after midnight this morning when a background check revealed an open warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. The warrant was confirmed and Olivo was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Alien Smuggling-Two separate traffic stops conducted this afternoon yielded the discovery of approximately five undocumented citizens from Honduras and El Salvador. The five subjects were handed over to the custody of the United States Border Patrol. Additionally, four subjects were found transporting the undocumented citizens. Miguel Arellano Martinez, Raquel Eloisa Aguilar, Adriana Cruz, and Vanessa Hernandez Dominguez, who was involved in the second traffic stop, were also taken into Border Patrol custody.

Structural Fire-Units responded to the 3200 block of Jardines Verdes whereupon arrival, observed an RV engulfed in flames. Fire crews at the scene were able to safely extinguish the fire, which had ignited for unknown reasons. The RV was unoccupied at the time of the incident. 

Theft/Identity Theft-A female complainant reported she her phone stolen by a known male subject while gambling at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino. The female further reported the subject was able to gain access to her phone and the bank account information linked to it and made a bank transaction without her consent. A formal report was filed.
