Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report



Dog Bite
Doe Lane
Complainant stated she was running on Doe Lane when she was suddenly attacked by a dog causing a minor laceration to her lower right leg. Report taken.

Assault Family Violence
1800 Block of Old Pioneer Road 
Complainant stated she had a verbal argument with her husband in which escalated to a physical confrontation. The complainant did not wish to file any charges. Report taken.

Hit and Run
Park Street
Complainant stated an unknown vehicle struck his 2015 Black Nissan Altima that was parked unoccupied. The Nissan sustained damages to the front right quarter panel area.  

Welfare Concern
Desolation Road
Deputies responded to Desolation Road in regards to a missing 7 year old child. Contact was then made with the parents of the child who stated their son had been missing for approximately 3 hours. A search of the area was conducted in which the 7 year old son was then located hidden in a brush area. EMS was summoned to location and treated the child. While Deputies were investigating, they observed the house was not in a livable condition. CPS was notified of the incident. 

Public Intoxication
1348 Maria Esther Street
On this Friday June 28, 2019 at approximately 9:48 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Maria Esther St. in reference to an unwanted male subject by location. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with reporting person who stated a known male subject was outside his house intoxicated. Deputy made contact with a male subject identified as Juan Gabriel Aguilar (43 YOA) who had a strong odor of an unknown alcohol beverage emitting from said male subject who also had blood shot eyes and slurred speech. Aguilar was arrested for public intoxication and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.

Information/Attempted Suicide
Molina Loop
On June 29, 2019 at approximately 1:55 A.M., Deputies were dispatched to Molina Loop by the canal area in reference to a male subject that jumped to the canal. Upon Deputy arrival he noticed a male subject inside the canal in which Deputy jumped inside the canal to take him out. EMS was summoned to location and male subject (19 YOA) was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further medical evaluation.

Motor Vehicle Accident
US Highway 277 North
On this Saturday June 29, 2019 at approximately 1:04 a.m., Maverick County Sheriff’s units were dispatched to US Hwy 277 North before Quemado Tx., in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with male driver who stated he was traveling northbound on US Hwy 277 north. Male driver stated he lost control of his tractor trailer and it jackknifed striking a guardrail. Male driver refused medical attention at the time of report. Tavos Wrecker Services was summoned to location.
