Public Intoxication/Disorderly Conduct-Jay Alvarado was arrested on public intoxication charges after he was reportedly acting in an aggressive manner towards passengers on a charter bus this morning. Contact was made with Mr. Alvarado upon arrival at the location, who appeared to be in a highly intoxicated state. The occupants of the charter bus also reported he was acting in a disorderly, aggressive fashion. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Daniel Meraz was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #2 this morning after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed as open and Meraz was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Information Report(Motor Vehicle Accident)-A county unit responded to FM1021 this morning after a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck was involved in a single motor vehicle accident. The occupants of the vehicle were able to wave down a passerby by the scene of the accident and were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for treatment. Preliminary investigations revealed the truck had been traveling westbound when it veered to the left and lost control, causing to roll over multiple times before landing onto private property. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the location and has taken over investigations.
Deceased Person-Deputies responded to a residence on Sauz Street Shortly after 1 PM this afternoon where an elderly male subject was found unresponsive in his bedroom. EMT crews also arrived at the scene and Justice of the Peace Smith was summoned to declare the male subject deceased.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-Jesus Enrique Becerra was arrested on a possession of a controlled substance charge this evening after deputies responded to calls of an unwanted subject and vehicle at a location. Upon arrival at the scene, contact was made with Mr. Becerra, who did not have a valid driver's license. He admitted to being in possession of an illegal substance upon questioning and a search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of a clear glass container with a white powdery substance. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
