Maverick County Daily Reports-February 19, 2019

Wanted Persons- A deputy patrolling the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County made contact with two male subjects found walking. After conducting a check, both subjects were found to have warrants for their arrest. The warrants on Juan Jaime Stockley and Richard Zamora were confirmed and they were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rosita Valley Road this morning after the driver of a 2017 GMC food truck backing out of a driveway struck a second food truck. A male subject leaning into the vehicle at the time of the accident was struck in both legs. He would later be transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for further treatment. The driver of the 2017 food truck refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Public Intoxication/Possession of Marijuana-Jorge Gabriel Sotelo was arrested on public intoxication charges this afternoon after he was initially found asleep behind the wheel by City of Eagle Pass Police officers. Contact was made with Sotelo, who displayed a slurred speech and droopy eyes, however, refused to participate in a field sobriety test. A white rolled-up paper containing marijuana was also observed in Mr. Sotelo's floorboard. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
