Family Violence/Assault-A complainant on the 1600 block of Eidson Road reported she had been involved in a verbal argument with her spouse which led to a physical confrontation. She further stated her husband had damaged property around the residence and left the area with her phone after she attempted to call 911. A formal report was taken.
Possession of Marijuana/Possession of a Controlled Substance-A deputy was dispatched to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this afternoon after patrol agents had detained a male subject. Contact was made with an agent upon arrival at the scene, who reported a K9 search of a black Chevrolet Cruze yielded the discovery of two plastic baggies containing a green leafy substance and a vape pen containing synthetic marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle. The substance tested positive for marijuana and the passenger, Jacob Joshua Earnest, claimed ownership of the narcotics. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
