Maverick County Daily Reports-February 05, 2019

Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling Eidson Road early this morning made contact with a male subject found with an alcoholic odor emitting from his person. The subject, Javier Amaya, admitted to having consumed alcoholic beverages and also displayed bloodshot eyes and a slurred speech. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Terrance Salazar was placed under arrest this morning after a check revealed he had an active warrant out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Units responded to Tierra Soberana shortly after 6AM this morning when the driver of a 2004 Nissan Quest veered off of the roadway and impacted a light pole. Contact was made with the driver who stated he had attempted to avoid an animal that had crossed the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damages and the driver refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Identity Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had used her personal information to open a credit account(s) without her consent. A formal report was filed.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject at the international port of entry this afternoon after he was initially detained by agents at the port when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed as open and the subject was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Mischief/Terroristic Threats-Contact was made with a complainant this afternoon who reported a known male subject had intentionally broken her bedroom window with a large rock. She further told deputies the subject has constantly been harassing and threatening her.
