Information Report-units responded to a call on the 400 block of Springview Drive at approximately 1:54 AM this morning where a car was found engulfed in flames. Eagle Pass Fire Department crews were at the scene upon arrival and deputies immediately assisted in evacuating tenants from the property. Crews were able to safely extinguish the fire on a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, which also affected nearby vehicles. Fire Marshal investigators are reviewing the incident.
Theft-A complainant on the 900 block of Calle Frente reported unknown subject(s) had entered his property without consent and took an audio set from the rear of the residence. A report was filed.
Burglary of Habitation-A resident on FM1021 reported an unknown subject entered her apartment through the kitchen window and took a video console without her consent. A formal report was filed.
Motor Vehicle Accident-The driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was involved in a single motor vehicle accident this afternoon when he struck a large log while traveling westbound on FM1021. The driver refused medical attention at the time of the report. and the vehicle sustained minor front end damages.
