Wanted Person-A deputy was dispatched to the international port of entry #2 this morning after agents at the port detained a male subject when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Angelina County on the subject identified as Eddie N. Luna was confirmed and Mr. Luna was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Assault/Family Violence-A complainant on the 500 block of Alamo Street reported a known male subject had pushed her and struck her with a closed fist. The male subject in question had left the area prior to a deputies' arrival. A formal report was filed.
Disorderly Conduct-Units were dispatched to the 3100 block of Mack Circle after fielding reports of a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, a verbal argument could be heard from outside a residence. Contact was made with a subject identified as Victor Santos, who appeared to be highly intoxicated and was uncompliant towards deputies. After a brief struggle, Mr. Santos was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for his disorderly conduct.
Wanted Person-Deputies this afternoon arrested Jorge Medrano at the international port of entry #2 after CBPS agents detained him when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Medrano would later be transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Assault/Family Violence-A county unit responded to the 2100 block of Calle Nicolas, whereupon arrival made contact with a female subject who reported a known male subject had struck her multiple times during an argument. The subject would refuse medical attention but did choose to file a formal report.
Tampering with Evidence-Deputies responded to the 2600 block of Commissary Road where a suspicious male subject was found inside an abandoned building. Contact was made with the subject, who stated he had consent from his aunt to stay at the location. An investigation of the area found several plastic baggies containing an unknown substance and three empty syringes by a bed. The subject would refuse deputy requests to raise his hands and swallowed the plastic bags. He was eventually placed in hand restraints before EMS crews were summoned to the location to transport him the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for evaluation. The syringes along with a piece of cotton containing an unknown substance were recovered from the scene as evidence. The male subject was released pending charges.
