Maverick County Daily Reports-August 27, 2018

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to US Highway 277 East and Loop 480 this morning, where the driver of a 2011 Dodge Challenger reported turning onto Highway 277 when it was struck by a 2008 Ford Expedition. Contact was made with the driver of the Expedition, who was traveling on 277 when the Challenger traveling from Loop 480 pulled out in front of him. The occupants of the Challenger were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further treatment.

Theft-A deputy was dispatched to a service tower on North Veteran's Blvd. this morning, whereupon arrival made contact with a complainant who reported copper wire had been removed from the buildings without consent. The complainant further stated he had last visited the site approximately two weeks ago. A formal report was filed.

Theft-A complainant on FM 2030 reported an unknown subject took a John Deere Gator utility vehicle that was stationary on the property without the owner's consent.

Deceased Person-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Deer Run Blvd. this evening, where a female subject had been reported deceased. Contact was made with family members upon arrival at the scene, who reported the subject had been suffering from medical problems. Justice of the Peace Melendrez arrived at the scene to pronounce the female subject deceased at approximately 10:37 PM.
