Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Units responded to the 100 block of Pleasant Drive early this morning, whereupon arrival observed an unconscious female subject with an open wound on her forearm lying in the driveway. The female would later state a known male subject had assaulted her with a pocket knife before fleeing the area. She was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Assault/Family Violence-County units were dispatched to the 300 block of School Circle, where contact was made with a complainant who reported being involved in a verbal argument with her common-law husband which turned violent when he struck her twice in the facial area. The complainant further stated her father witnessed the assault and grabbed his pistol and shot three rounds in the husband's direction. The husband, identified as Marcos Martinez was not injured and was placed under arrest. EMS crews at the scene would medically clear the female subject. The pistol and shell casings were taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for investigative purposes.
Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling County Road 553 made contact with a male subject found asleep inside his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The subject, Ruben Vela Juarado displayed a slurred speech and a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Public IntoxicationJason Suke was arrested this evening on public intoxication charges after he was involved in a physical altercation. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
