Aggravated Assault/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Units responded to the 3100 block of Venesa Street this morning, where contact was made with a complainant who reported a known male subject had physically assaulted her and displayed a knife in the midst of the assault. The subject, identified as Jesus Rodolfo Amezcua, was initially detained due to his aggressive behavior before being charged with aggravated assault. A search revealed Mr. Amezcua was also in possession of fewer than two ounces of marijuana. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Alejandro Roque was arrested at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this evening after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant for Mr. Roque was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
