Maverick County Daily Reports-July 06, 2018

Information Report-At approximately 9:08 this evening, units were dispatched to US Highway 277 North after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident. The Texas Department of Public Safety was on the scene upon arrival and further investigations revealed the driver of a 2004 Ford Excursion traveling southbound on 277 had struck an oncoming 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The driver of a Ford pickup also traveling southbound attempted to avoid the collision and veered off the roadway, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. EMS crews were on hand to transport the driver of the Trailblazer to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and DPS officers arrested the male driver of the Excursion after conducting a field sobriety exam.
