Maverick County Daily Reports-June 13, 2018

Theft-A complainant at the Maverick County Lake reported a known male subject had taken her cellular phone and bag containing several personal items without her consent. A report was filed.

Recovered Narcotics-A deputy patrolling Barrera Street this morning observed an unoccupied GMC Yukon parked with the driver's door open. The deputy then observed a small baggie containing marijuana along with a pipe in plain view. The drugs were recovered and taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.

Theft-A complainant reported unknown actor(s) had entered his backyard and took several items without consent.

Family Violence/Assault-Deputies met with a female subject at the intersection of FM1021 and Las Quintas Blvd. this afternoon after she had advised she has gotten into a verbal argument with her husband. Contact was made with the husband who also reported he had been involved in an argument with his wife, however, stated no physical contact was involved. A witness at the scene, though, told deputies the husband had physically assaulted his wife by striking her in the ribcage several times. The male was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
