Motor Vehicle Accident with Fixed Object-A unit was dispatched to the intersection of Ranchitos Road and La Loma early this evening after a concerned citizen reported a white vehicle had struck a light pole and stop sign in the area before fleeing the scene. A search of the area was conducted, however, no vehicle matching the description was found.
Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle/Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A complainant on the 500 block of FM2030 reported unknown subject(s) had taken his 2015 Hyundai Veloster without consent.
At approximately 10:04 AM, the stationary vehicle was found on Old Oro Road. It was impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation and CID has taken over the case.
Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Mirael J. Smith was arrested at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this afternoon after being detained by agents when marijuana characteristics were found in his duffel bag. The substance would test positive for marijuana and Mr. Smith was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle-Two male subjects were taken into custody this evening after the vehicle they were traveling had been reported stolen out of Broward County, Florida. The subjects were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing and the vehicle was impounded to the Maverick County yard by a local wrecker service.
