Maverick County Daily Reports-April 26, 2018

Wanted Person/Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Motor Vehicle Accident/Assault-Family Violence/Violation of a Protective Order-At approximately 4:50 PM, deputies with the Maverick County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Latigo Circle after a male subject had violated a protective order. While en route deputies observed a 2011 Dodge Avenger matching the description of the vehicle that had left the residence on Latigo Circle. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Ricardo Alberto Macias, whose check revealed an active warrant for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. Units were also advised the Avenger had struck a vehicle from behind at the intersection of Loop 480 and FM1021 and had fled the scene of the accident. Contact was also made with the initial complainant, who reported she had a protective order against Mr. Macias when he arrived at her residence and physically assaulted her and grabbed her by her hair in an attempt to remove her from her vehicle. Mr. Macias was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
