Maverick County Daily Reports-October 18, 2017

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Jeffrey Ray Jimenez after a background check during a traffic stop revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Jimenez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Carl Kent Pendeton was arrested at the port of entry this afternoon after being detained by CBP agents when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Bexar County was confirmed and Mr. Pendeton was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-A County unit responded to US Highway 57 after the driver of a 2003 F-150 advised he had fallen asleep behind the wheel, causing him to lose control. EMS crews were on hand and the driver was medically cleared. The Texas Department of Public Safety was also at the scene and has since taken over the investigation.

Disorderly Conduct-A fight between females subjects this evening off of County Road 515 revealed one subject had entered the United States without any documentation. The United States Border Patrol was summoned to the location and took custody of the female. The second female involved was cited at the scene.

Hit and Run-A resident on the 600 block of Progresso Street reported her 2009 Dodge Caliber had been struck by a 2010 Dodge Caliber while it was parked outside her home. The driver, however, fled the scene in an unknown vehicle, leaving behind the 2010 Caliber. The vehicle was impounded and this case is under investigation.
