Driving with an Invalid License/Wanted Person-A routine traffic stop on Old Pioneer Road this morning yielded two arrests after a check revealed the driver of the vehicle to have a suspended license and its passenger to have an active warrant. Maria Rodriguez and Susana Rodriguez were both taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Criminal Mischief-A deputy responded to the 1700 block of Jalisco this afternoon, where a complainant reported a known male subject had broken the window to his vehicle.
Disorderly Conduct-Units made their way to the 2600 block of Cenizo after fielding a disturbance call. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female subject identified as Claudia Ortega, who stated she had assaulted a female subject outside her residence. She would be taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Assault/Family Violence-Deputies on patrol were dispatched to the 1700 block of Calle Encuentro this evening in reference to a possible family violence. Upon arriving at the scene, Francisco Aranda and Rosita Maria Cuevas both told deputies they had been involved in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Mr. Aranda suffered a minor laceration to the back of his head while Ms. Cuevas sustained several red markings and a bump to her forehead. The two subjects refused medical attention at the time of the reported and were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-A unit was dispatched to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this evening after agents had detained a female subject for possession. Upon arrival, it was determined Alexandra Marie Benavidez had been in possession of a crystallized substance which would later test positive for methamphetamine.
