Maverick County Daily Reports-August 27, 2018

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-A deputy responded to US Highway 277 North this morning after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that a 2010 Chrysler Sebring found unoccupied had struck a guard rail. A search in the immediate area for the driver came up empty. The vehicle was then towed by a local wrecker service. 

Wanted Person-Brandon Michael Endres was arrested at the port of entry #2 this afternoon when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Jim Wells County was confirmed and Mr. Endres was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Driving While Intoxicated/Public Intoxication-Deputies patrolling Carla Drive this evening made a a traffic stop on a 2009 Saturn for a minor infraction. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle, who were both found with open containers and displayed signs of intoxication. The driver, Jose Antonio Morales was placed under arrest on DWI charges. His passenger, Sergio Avila, was charged with public intoxication. The two were then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
