Maverick County Daily Reports-June 11, 2017

Burglary of Habitation-A reporting person on Alvin Street told deputies an unknown actor(s) had entered his property without consent and took several items, including two television sets, a gaming console, a watch, and several bottles of alcoholic beverages. This case is under investigation.

DWI-Deputies patrolling FM2030 this morning observed a parked 2003 Mazda Protege near FM1021 with its lights off and turn signal on. Contact was made with Alexandra Noriega, the driver of the vehicle, who was determined to be intoxicated. Ms. Noriega was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident w/a Fixed Object-Units responded to the 5800 block of FM1021 this morning after the driver of a 2005 Ford Mustang lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into a guard rail and end up in a ditch. The driver, who stated he was travelling at a high rate of speed because he was late to work, was uninjured.

Wanted Person-Alan Alejandro Garza was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #1 this evening after being detained when a check revealed an active warrant out of Dimmit County. The warrant was confirmed and Garza was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
