Maverick County Daily Reports-May 01, 2017

Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had taken his wallet without consent after he had left it at a convenience store.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 East this morning after the driver of a 2005 Toyota Tacoma was involved in a single motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, contact was made with Juan Villarreal, who stated he lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a deer that had crossed the roadway. The swerve caused the Tacoma to roll on its side, sustaining moderate damage. Mr. Villarreal refused medical attention at the time of this report and this case remains under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the intersection of Olmos Street and Eidson Road this afternoon after a 2007 Ford F-150 was involved in accident with a 2008 Mercury Milan. Upon making contact with both parties, it was determined the F-150, which sustained damages to its front end, had rear-ended the Milan while it attempted to make a turn onto Olmos Street. The driver of the Mercury was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for treatment. This case remains under investigation.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 1700 block of Las Quintas Blvd. reported unknown actor(s) had entered his residence through a bedroom window and took a generator without his consent.

Cruelty to Animals-Deputies responded to the 300 block of Canal, where a complainant stated unknown actor(s) had shot and killed her two dogs. She further stated the dogs had been located by the canal area.
