Maverick County Daily Reports-March 27, 2017

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 200 block of Las Brisas reported an unknown subject(s) entered his residence and took a television set without his consent. A report was taken.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Luis Emmanuel Gonzalez this morning after a background check revealed an active warrant for arrest out of Maverick County. Mr. Gonzalez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry #2 this morning after CBP agents at the port detained a male subject when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. Jesse James Contreras was arrested when the warrant out of Taylor County on sexual assault of a child charge was confirmed. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 East this evening, where the driver of a Dodge Magnum told officers he had falling asleep behind the wheel when his vehicle veered to the right and struck a concrete barrier. The driver refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Possession of a Dangerous Drug-Selina Alejandra Mallen was taken into custody this evening after she attempted to enter the United States in possession of three different type of pills which were found to be illegal. She was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
