Maverick County Daily Reports-February 25, 2017

Wanted Person-Daniel Tamayo was placed under arrest this morning after initially being detained by City of Eagle Pass police officers when a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Tamany was turned over to the custody of sheriff's deputies and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to calls of an out of control person on Coyunda Street early this morning. At approximately 2:58 AM, units were en route, whereupon arrival, made contact with a subject identified as Ruben Zambrano. Mr. Zambrano displayed bloodshot eyes, unstable movements, and a type of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jesus Roberto Reyes was placed under arrest at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this morning after agents detained him when a check revealed an active warrant. Mr. Reyes was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Eidson Road this afternoon, where a complainant reported a known aggressor arrived at the location and started a physical altercation. The aggressor displayed a box cutter and used it against the complainant, causing a laceration on the right cheek. The subject then fled the scene prior to a deputies arrival. EMS crews arrived at the scene and transported the individual to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further medical treatment. This case is under investigation.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-A County deputy responded to the international port of entry #1, where agents detained a male subject for possibly having narcotics in his possession. Aldo Hernandez of Arlington, Texas was found to have a white powdery substance in his possession, which would later test positive for cocaine and.Mr. Hernandez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
