Maverick County Daily Reports-January 24, 2017

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies patrolling Montemayor Street in Las Quintas early  this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Dodge Durango with defective equipment. Upon making contact, a strong marijuana odor was detected emitting from the vehicle. Further investigation yielded the discovery of a usable amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. Juan Diego Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highways 277 East, where a 2011 Nissan Versa was found to have veered off of the highway and sustained visible damages to its front end. The vehicle was found unoccupied at the time of the report.

Disorderly Conduct-Units were dispatched to Siesta Drive in regards to an unwanted female subject in the area. Upon arrival, it was known that the subject, later identified as twenty year old Ariana Hernandez was highly intoxicated and was being verbally abusive to her siblings. Ms. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Deadly Conduct-A complainant on the 1900 block of Sueno Drive reported a known male subject had pointed a gun at him and began shouting. The complainant advised the subject left the area towards an unknown location.
