Maverick County Daily Reports-January 01, 2017

Possession of Marijuana-Ruben Gomez was placed under arrest on the 400 block of Lariat Road this morning after he was found smoking a marijuana cigarette. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-Units responded to the 3200 block of Sauz Street this morning, where Angel Luis Ramos was taken into custody when he was found to be highly intoxicated and attempting to fight with family members. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A resident on the 3300 block of Siesta Drive reported a Toyota Scion had struck his 2005 Ford F-15o on the back quarter panel area before fleeing the scene. The complainant, however, was able to see the Toyota license plates. A report was filed.

Wanted Person-Deputies on patrol responded to an agressive male subject on the 600 block of Barbara Street. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Isaac Aldama, who had approximately four warrants for his arrest out of Maverick County. Mr. Aldama was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Driving While Intoxicated-Deputies Patrolling the southern sector of Maverick County this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford Focus. The driver, identified as Juan Armando Avila, displayed signs of intoxication. A field sobriety test was performed and it was determined that Mr. Avila performed poorly. He was taken into custody on DWI charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Joseph Brian Flores was arrested at the international port of entry #2 this morning when a background check revealed an active warrant out of Rusk County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Flores was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Adrian Rodriguez this afternoon after fielding calls of an unwanted subject in Balcones area. A check revealed Mr. Rodriguez also had an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct/Wanted Person-An argument between a couple led to the arrest of a male subject, identified as Mario Martinez, when a check revealed active warrant out of Maverick County. Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center after the warrant was confirmed.

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the 200 block of Wild Turkey after receiving a call of an unwanted male subject in the area. Contact was made Noel Hernandez, who was found in an intoxicated state. Hernandez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Siesta Drive, where a resident reported unknown subject(s) had entered his residence and took a 60 inch television set without consent.
