Maverick County Daily Reports-October 07, 2016

Criminal Trespassing/Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responded to the 17900 block of Ferrer Street in reference to a burglary in progress. Contact was made with a resident who told deputies three male subjects attempted to enter her home without consent. At the time, the subjects fled in a Chevrolet Silverado. Several blocks later, units were able to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description. A body pat down on the driver, Austin Lee Rivera, yielded the discovery of a small plastic baggie containing a a clear rocky substance in his possession. The substance would later test positive for crystal meth. Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The two other subjects were issues a warning and released. The vehicle would be impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.

DWI-A deputy patrolling Veteran's Blvd. this evening observed a black Dodge Pickup weaving in and out of a single lane. A traffic stop was conducted, whereupon it was discovered the driver wad intoxicated. Emily Cristina Cadena was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Araceli Mendoza was arrested at the international port of entry 2 after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mendoza was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
