Maverick County Daily Reports-September 09, 2016

Wanted Person-Deputies on patrol this morning arrested the driver of a 2002 GMC Yukon after a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Julio Cesar Mendoza was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. -A deputy responded to the United States Border Patrol South Station after agents had initially detained a male subject found to be in possession of marijuana.  Felipe De Jesus Salazar was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant at the LBJ headstart reported an unknown person had entered her vehicle while she was picking her daughter up from school and took her purse without consent.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Saturn for a minor traffic violation on FM1021 this afternoon. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle, whereupon one subject was found to be in possession of marijuana. Eduardo Emanuel Reyna Cortez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-Deputies responded to a theft in progress in Chula Vista this afternoon, where a complainant reported a male subject had entered his property and took several items without consent. A description was provided, where shortly thereafter deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, Roberto Cavazos, was found to be in possession of the items previously reported stolen. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
