Maverick County Daily Reports-August 26, 2016

Public Intoxication/Open Container-Deputies responded to the intersection of Deer Run Blvd. and White Tail this morning after a vehicle was found in the middle of the roadway impeding traffic. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject asleep behind the wheel and several open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The subject, Gerardo Torres, displayed signs of intoxication and was found with unstable balance and a slurred speech. Mr. Torres was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

 Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office reported unknown actor(s) had entered his 2015 Camaro and took cash, jewelry, and a pair of work boots without consent.

Theft-A complainant on the 3200 block of Tina Street reported an unknown subject had taken two ice chests and a steel disc used for cooking from his property.

Wanted Person-Deputies conducting a traffic stop in Rosita Valley this afternoon arrested Oscar Rodriguez Jr. after it was revealed he had an active warrant for his arrest. Mr. Rodriguez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies were dispatched to the international port of entry #1 after agents at the port discovered a white powdery substance inside a Dodge Charger. The substance would later test positive for cocaine and Esiquio Nathan Esparza was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
