Maverick County Daily Reports-July 05, 2016

Public Intoxication-A county unit responded to Brown Street in Quemado, Texas this morning after Border Patrol agents requested assistance with a male subject found to be intoxicated. Jorge Estrada Torres was placed under arrest on public intoxication charges. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Damage to Property-A resident on Frances Gates Drive told deputies unknown subject(s) had shot at his 2011 Ford Ranger with a b.b. gun, breaking the front windshield. 


Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international Port of Entry #1, where CBP agents detained a male subject whose background check displayed an active warrant. The warrant on Christian David Trevino was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-Deputies were dispatched to Gerardo's Bar on El Indio Highway this evening after receiving reports of a structural fire. Upon arrival, Eagle Pass Fire Department crews were at the scene to safely extinguish the fire. No damage estimate was available at the time of this report and arson investigators have taken over the investigation.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to calls of an assault in progress this evening. Upon arrival, contact was made with Erick Resendiz, who stated he had been involved in a physical altercation with his juvenile brother. Contact was made with the juvenile, who stated he had been struck by his brother as well. In the midst of the report, Mr. Resendiz began to display signs of disorderly conduct. He refused medical attention before being taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
