Maverick County Daily Reports-June 02, 2016

DWI/Wanted Person/Duty on Striking Fixture/Public Intoxication/Motor Vehicle Accident-A deputy patrolling the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County this morning witnessed a vehicle in the middle of the roadway and two male subjects fleeing the scene. The subjects, identified as Rene Hernandez and Gasper Hernandez, were apprehended shortly thereafter after being found hiding in the brush area. Both subjects displayed signs of intoxication, bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from their person.

Further investigation revealed the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis had struck a concrete pillar fence on Albores Street, causing damages to the back left panel area and front bumper. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.


Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 1500 block of Valarie Drive reported unknown subject(s) had shattered the rear window to his 2008 Dodge Avenger with a brick. This case was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department.

Wanted Person-Samuel Reyes was arrested after a TCIC/NCIC check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was escorted to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Trespassing-Deputies arrested Julio Rodolfo Gonzalez and Jesus Moreno this afternoon after the two were found trespassing on private property. They would later be cited.
