Maverick County Daily Reports-May 04, 2016

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Laura Street after receiving reports of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a  male subject who had been acting in a disorderly fashion with family members. Family members told officials the male subject, later identified as Miguel Angel Sanchez, had been consuming alcoholic beverages with them when he began to act in an aggressive manner. Mr. Sanchez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-A county unit made its way to the intersection of US Highway 277 North and Dr. Gates Road this morning in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Deputies arrived at the scene and observed a 2015 unoccupied Nissan Sentra had struck a traffic control sign pole. The Sentra sustained front end damages. It was later towed by a local wrecker service. This case remains under investigation.

Wanted Person-Deputies on patrol this morning conducted a traffic stop of a Toyota Corolla for a minor traffic infraction. A background check on Adrian Rodriguez, the driver of the Corolla, revealed an active warrant for his arrest. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Nathan Othniel Saurez was placed under arrest after being detained at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 when a background check revealed an active warrant. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international Port of Entry #1 after CBP agents detained a male subject with an active warrant. The warrant for Armando Talamantes was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
