Public Intoxication-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry om reference to an intoxicated male. Ruben Herrera Padilla was found in an intoxicated state and was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies responded to the Maverick County Lake in reference to a motor vehicle accident and arrested a male subject identified as Juan Miguel Garcia on possession of marijuana charges this evening. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female driver, whose vehicle sustained rear end damages. Contact was also made with Garcia, the driver of the second vehicle, who displayed signs of intoxication, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. A body pat down revealed Garcia to be in possession of a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance. A vehicle search also yielded the discovery of a smoking pipe. The female driver was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment and Garcia was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
