Maverick County Daily Reports-Febuary 06, 2015

Information Report/Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies patrolling South Veteran's Boulevard early this morning observed an 18-wheeler flipped over on its side at the intersection of FM1021 and South Veteran's Boulevard. Contact was made with Jesus Francisco Vasquez, the driver of the trailer, who stated he was attempting to make a right turn onto FM1021 when he felt the shipment load begin to shift. The load shifted the weight, causing the the 18-wheeler to flip on its side. The City of Eagle Pass Police Department was on scene at the location and has taken over the investigation. Mr. Vasquez refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Assault-A deputy responded to the intersection of Bibb Ave. and FM1021, where a female complainant reported being assaulted by a known male subject.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Officers responded to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center emergency room after a male subject reported he was assaulted by an unknown male subject with a beer bottle, causing a laceration on the forehead area.

Assault, Family Violence-A complainant on the 2100 block of Coyunda reported having gotten into an argument with her husband that escalated into physical contact. The complainant stated that her husband began to argue with their fifteen year old daughter and assaulted her as well.

Minor Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection of Main Street and Veteran's Boulevard, where a City of Eagle Pass police unit was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident. Both parties refused medical attention at the time and damages reported were minimal.

Assault, Family Violenceb-A complainant on Dubb Street reported her ex-husband had assaulted her fourteen year old daughter, hitting her in the right cheek area with a closed fist.

Wanted Person-A county unit was dispatched to the international Port of Entry #1 after agents detained a male subject with an active warrant. A TCIC/NCIC check on Marcelio Mireles revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Mireles was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence/Assault-Deputies arrested sixty year old Hector Medina after it was revealed that he had physically assaulted his son while having a verbal argument.

Wanted Person-Jose Alfredo Lujan-Mendez was arrested at the international Port of Entry after a check revealed an outstanding warrant of of Maverick County. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence-Deputies detained a female juvenile after she had physically assaulted her sister and step-father.
