Maverick County Daily Reports-January 04, 2016

Public Intoxication-County deputies were dispatched to Rosita Valley this morning in  reference to a physical altercation. Contact was made with two male subjects involved in the altercation upon arrival at the scene, where one of the subjects was stabbed in the upper left shoulder. Marcelino Rodriguez and Jose Luis Martinez were both taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A resident on Ferrer Street reported an unknown vehicle struck his parked vehicle and left the scene of the accident. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Wanted Person-A county unit responded to the international Port of Entry #1 after agents at the port detained a male subject with an active warrant. Deputies confirmed the warrant on Alfredo Ojeda Sandoval and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Identity Theft/Credit Card Abuse-A female complainant reported to deputies a known male subject had been using her personal information to obtain a credit card as well as money.

Damage to Property-Deputies responded to the 2900 block of Buena Vista, where a property owner reported an unknown vehicle had knocked down a wood fence, damaging his 2001 Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

Theft-A complainant on Laguna Circle told deputies an unknown subject had stolen the breaker box to her residence.


Structural Fire-Deputies responded to the 900 block of Ranchitos Road at approximately 7:40 PM this evening after receiving reports of a fire. Upon arrival, deputies observed the rear of the residence fully engulfed in flames.  Fire Department crews were on hand to extinguish the flames and the cause of the fire was yet to be determined at the time of the report.

Family Violence/Assault-A complainant on Borjon Street reported she was assaulted by her husband while having an argument.
