Maverick County Daily Reports-October 02, 2015

Information Report-Deputies were dispatched to Rosita Valley Road this afternoon, when United States Border Patrol agents requested assistance with an uncompliant male subject detained by said location. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male subject, later identified as thirty-eight year old Ricardo Garcia, who was found inside of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. Mr. Garcia refused to identify himself or provide proof of identification after deputies had requested on several occasions and was ultimately arrested on charges of failure to identify. A search of the vehicle yielded a small clear baggie containing a white powdery substance to believed to be cocaine as well as a medium sized box containing a large amount of US currency. The items were seized and transported to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. This case is under investigation.

Hit and Run-A complainant on Wagon Wheel Road stated that an unknown vehicle collided into her stationary 2014 white Ford Focus.

Public Intoxication-Deputies arrested sixty-one year old Juan Rodriguez on public intoxication charges after he lost control of his Ford Focus. No damages were caused at the scene.
