Maverick County Daily Reports-October 24, 2015

Criminal Mischief- A complainant on Zaragoza Street stated the rear window to her 2012 Ford Explorer parked in her driveway had been broken.

Motor Vehicle Accident- County deputies were advised by City of Eagle Pass Police Officers this afternoon that the owner of a stolen vehicle had spotted the vehicle and was following it through the streets of Maverick County. Units were further advised the vehicle had crashed into a tree by the 3200 block of Fresno Street. Upon arrival, all three occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest. The vehicle was released to the owner by the Eagle Pass Police Department on scene.

Wanted Person/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. -A deputy patrolling the Seco Mines area of Maverick county conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 black Dodge Avenger. A background check on the driver, Juan Humberto Fernandez, revealed a warrant out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Fernandez was also found to be in possession of marijuana under 2 oz. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on FM 2030 stated unknown subject(s) threw an unknown object towards the front window frame, causing damages.

Hit and Run-Deputies responded to the 1500 block of Valerie Drive, where a complainant reported her stationary vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle. Further investigation revealed the complainant's vehicle had been struck by a Dodge Ram truck located on the 1400 block of North Street.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A deputy responded to the 3200 block of Del Rio Blvd. after reports of a suspicious person attempting to gain entry into a vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer was not able to locate the subject in question, however, a vehicle check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the Eagle Pass Police Department. The vehicle was then impounded.
