Maverick County Daily Reports-September 13, 2015

Reckless Driving-A county unit patrolling North Veteran's Blvd. observed a black Chevrolet Malibu driving recklessly while traveling northbound. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Sixto Riojas, was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

DWI-A traffic stop conducted on FM 1021 for a speeding infraction revealed that the driver of a Ford F-150 was intoxicated. Jose Arnulfo Vela Fuentes was placed under arrest on DWI charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-County units responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 North this morning after receving reports of a three vehicle accident. Deputies arrived at the scene to find a 2014 white BMW X3 with front end damages had collided into a 2015 white Toyota Sequoia with rear and front end damages. A third vehicle, a 2014 Ford Taurus had sustained rear end damages from the impact. Further investigation revealed the BMW also struck and damaged the canopy located at the checkpoint. The driver of the Sequoia was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for medical treatment. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the scene and has since taken over the investigation.







Wanted Person-A county unit was dispatched to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on Fm 2644, where a background check on a male individual revealed an active warrant out of Bexar County. The male subject was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-a complainant on Canal Street reported an unknown person(s) had entered her residence and stolen several items.
