Maverick County Daily Reports-August 5, 2015

Motor Vehicle Accident-At approximately 5:18 this morning, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Mines Road. County units arrived at the scene to observe a 2014 Ford F-150  and 2008 White GMC Sierra had collided with one another, causing extensive damage. Contact was made with the driver of the Ford, identified as Lee Roy Rosales, who stated he was traveling southbound on Old Mines Road on the incoming lane when he noticed a vehicle traveling northbound. Both drivers attempted to avoid striking each other on the northbound lane but failed to do so. Omar Salazar, a passenger in the Ford pick up was airlifted after sustaining injuries. Mr. Rosales was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for minor injuries. 



Burglary of Building-A complainant on the 2000 block of Las Brisas reported that an unknown actor entered his unoccupied residence and took several items without his consent.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 2000 block of Boulder Ridge stated unknown actor(s) threw an unknown object to her windshield causing it to break.
