Maverick County Daily Reports

Information Report-Deputies were dispatched to Highway 277 East after a tractor trailer had gone off the road. Deputies on scene minutes after the 1 AM hour observed the trailer had jackknifed off of the side of the road and had damaged fenceline to a ranch off of 277 East. Driver told deputies the strong winds and rain on the roadway caused him to drive off of the road. The driver refused further medical attention. The Texas Department of Public Safety was also at the scene and has since taken over the investigation.

Information Report-Complainant advised deputies of several loose dogs on Rodriguez street and he has contacted vector control of the problem but to no avail.

Burglary of Building-Deputies arrived at 2B Liquor Store on El Indio Highway after unknown actors gained entry into the building overnight by attempting to tear a wall located at the rear of the business. Complainant advised that no items were taken from said location.

Theft-Female complainant reported a lawnmower as stolen after unknown subject(s)  entered her carport and took the mower at an unknown time. The incident occurred on the 1000 block of FM2030.

Information Case-A vehicle chase that ensued in Webb County entered into Maverick County via Old Mines Road. A white Chevrolet Pickup came to a stop approximately twenty-five miles in, at which point the driver fled the area. The passenger was apprehended and United States Border Patrol took over the case.

Theft/Terroristic Threats-A female complainant advised deputies a known male subject took several items from her residence. The female further advised that male subject had been contacting her and threatening her in regards to the theft.


Family Violence/Assault-Deputies arrived to Siesta Acres sectors of Maverick County after complainant stated her son was intoxicated and had assaulted her. Female told officers her son had fled the area prior to deputies arrival.

Civil Matter-Officers were dispatched to Christian Drive after a resident stated her dog was attacked by her neighbor's dog. Female wished to file a complaint in reference to the matter.

Wanted Person-Female was arrested at the Port of Entry for having an outstanding warrant out of Maverick County for Forgery.
